As consultants, we often get speculative calls about projects, new business directions and complete changes and when is the best time to implement them. We know from experience that probably over half of these wont go ahead due to financial concerns, fear of the unknown and lack of time, however with all the melay of the current environment, now could be a perfect time to stand back and look at what you offer.
Firstly, the Government and local councils are fighting over each other to hand out cash for new and innovative solutions – the Government’s R&D Tax relief scheme has been extended (feel free to ask us about this if you’re unsure) and there are a plethora of new schemes being added to support new start ups or change.
We currently support over 250 clients nationwide and whilst theres no guarantee, it does seem to be that those looking to adopt more modern working practices such as operating remotely, or offering delivery or collection, or even those taking a completely different direction, seem to be benefiting in one form or another. We have seen much greater interest in the Drone, Thermal Imaging and Point Cloud based solutions we offer as it affords surveyors an opportunity to gather information remotely, and may of the e-commerce websites we offer have now been tweaked to accommodate booking engines for collection or delivery as part of a way of maintaining sales.
Speaking to these clients now that changes have been made, many are questioning why they didn’t offer such services in the first place and take advantage of both available funding plus the change in the way customers now demand both products and services.
